The Shadow Theater is a competitive game for two players where the box itself becomes an active part of the game, creating a sort of stage curtain.
On their turn, players can send a monkey to one of three possible locations to apply its effect, or collect all the monkeys from one location.
Under certain conditions, Monkeys and Jade Stones allow you to earn points.
You can also play Dragon Weapon cards, which will take your opponent by surprise.
A round ends when at least 1 type of resource (Dragon Weapon cards, Monkeys, Jade Stones, or Peaches) is exhausted in the Reserve. The game is won by the first player to win 2 rounds.
Contents: 1 Monkey King, 25 monkeys, 9 peaches, 9 jade stones, 1 board, 19 cards, 10 Parchment tiles, 3 Lantern tokens, 1 rulebook.
